What If College Is Not For You? Here’s an opportunity of a lifetime…

  • Categories Blog

College is not for everyone. In fact, you may be among those considering skipping college for now. If so, read on. We have some good news if you have a promising business idea in mind.

Have you heard of the Thiel Fellowship?

It’s a two-year program that pays you to forgo school to pursue your entrepreneurial dream. Each year 20 to 30 carefully vetted young adults are chosen to receive $100,000 to commence work on their startup idea.

Founded in 2011 by tech entrepreneur and investor Peter Thiel, the aim of the stipend based program is to provide those selected with an early opportunity to pursue business initiatives that advance the world rather than potentially being saddled with student debt.

From the foundation’s network of founders, investors, and scientists, program participants receive mentorship, education, networking connections, and resources that help to foster their chosen entrepreneurial path.

If you have dreams of pursuing a promising idea, this fellowship may be the perfect forum to help you launch it.

Why wait for four years or more when you can embrace your dreams right away?!

Applications are accepted year-round and are immediately reviewed upon receipt. Moreover, you can continue to update your application after you have submitted it.

“Since its inception, the Thiel Fellowship has been supporting fearless entrepreneurs who want to do big things outside of a classroom. This next generation of founders is dedicated to creating new things that solve real problems for real people.” – Allyson Dias, director of the Thiel Fellowship

Past Thiel Fellows have proven successful in unleashing new ventures like Workflow, a productivity tool launched in 2014 that at one point had the distinction of being the most downloaded app in the Apple Store. Then there’s Ethereum, launched by Thiel fellow Vitalik Buterin. Figma, a design and prototyping platform built by Dylan Field is still another success story.

At Kollege Kampus,we believe that higher education is a foundational piece for career achievement, we also embrace entrepreneurship. And a Thiel Fellowship is an option to consider if you are looking to jump-start a business venture!

As Steve Jobs quoted, “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”

If you’ve decided that college is for you or would like to get some classes under your belt before becoming an entrepreneur, let us help you find a simple way to save on college tuition.

Happy Savings,
